Message from our Chief Executive
I took over as Chief Executive of the world's most impressive professional recruitment company in March 2006. A very proud day for me - not just because of the title but because it's Michael Page International.
Like most of our senior management team, I started as a recruitment consultant. When I joined Michael Page 19 years ago, our profit was less than £1 million. It was £66 million in 2005!
Many things have changed, but then again, some things haven't: an organic growth strategy, more offices, more disciplines, more countries, a meritocracy, no commission but profit share and of course promotion from within.
The future looks very promising indeed with all the signs pointing towards a buoyant market and with Michael Page International poised to achieve even greater levels of success. After all, we have everything on our side...the strongest brand, world leading candidate and technological resources, the most thorough training and development strategy - and, of course, the best people. However, we can only realise our potential if sufficient numbers of high calibre, ambitious individuals join us and take advantage of the worldwide opportunities available.
