IT Infrastructure Manager

Preparation and execution (Where required) of strategies for upcoming IT projects such as Virtualisation, Windows 7 migration, Cloud Computing, Mobility etc.
Detailed Support of the complete IT Network infrastructure of the company including all aspects of the system (Note: The candidate will be fully accountable for this function). This will include security systems, Audio visual systems, Cost control systems etc.
Take complete ownership of the companies DR. Sites including but not limited to Optimizing of the DR. Site, Optimisation of data transfer to the DR. Site, DR. Site Testing.
Assisting with the management of the complete lifecycle of IT related projects from producing motivations till producing completion documentation
Able to work overtime when necessary as some overtime will be required for upgrades and support that will have to be done after hours. Some of the overtime will be unforeseen as emergencies cannot be predicted.
Limited Assistance with the resolution of general helpdesk support calls and user queries.
Deployment and installation of complex enterprise level solutions, ongoing support of any new infrastructure and computers that are purchased.
Investigation / Research / regular study of the latest trends / developments in the industry to identify key actions to improve effectiveness, usability and functionality of the IT infrastructure of the business including but not limited to strategies for Virtualisation, WAN optimization, User Mobility.
Investigation / Research / regular study of the latest trends / developments in the industry to identify key actions to improve effectiveness, usability and functionality of the User experience of working with the IT systems within the building.
Functional Analysis and Problem Solving - Liaison with colleagues to establish their needs and specifying the functionality required to produce a workable solution or to develop new concepts / ideas and implementation thereof to assist in business processes.
Skills transfer and to document all planning, designing, building, implementing, troubleshooting and support activities and tasks and to ensure that documentation is up to date of new and existing business applications within the IT Department and to the users of the systems.
Reporting - provide feedback to relevant parties on timing and scope of projects, status of projects.
Ability to work alone or in a team with minimal management.

DNS (Internal & External)
Advanced Networking
Scripting - Dos, Powershell etc
Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7
Basic Linux knowledge

Other technical skills required:

Cisco/Networking Switches
Microsoft Exchange 2007 (Advanced)
