Providing leadership, motivation and direction for the Practice team
Directly managing the performance of the Professional Consultants
Recruiting, inducting, coaching and developing Professional Consultants
Deploying practice expertise in presales and Consulting Sales to ensure solution components and assignments in their area of competence are well conceived and executed
Balancing the competency needs of the business with the individual aspirations of the Professional Consultants
Analysing and interpreting the likely demand for their Practice and managing both fixed and variable resources in order to ensure appropriate availability of competence
Promoting the current competence availability to the Consulting Sales organisation
Working with the Delivery and Sales Organisation in order to balance the needs of the customers with the Practice's ability to deliver Consulting services
Acting as a consultant in their own right, often in the presales phase of engagements or by providing oversight and review of the work of their staff
Leading technically, sponsoring or facilitating the optimum use of Professional Communities in the Practice area
Staying on top of new developments, new approaches, new products and the relevant external business information for the Practice area
Controlling practice expenditure in line with budget or current operating plans
Creating and promoting a portfolio of Professional Consulting Services for the Practice area and preparing to roll out global offerings
