Human Resources Manager: Africa

This is a key role which will report to the General Manager of the regional business with dotted line reporting to Group General Manager of HR. In this role, you will:
• Develop and implement HRM strategies and plans aligned and integrated with business on country and continental levels
• Drive the overall organization talent management initiatives: recruitment, deployment, development and progression
• Establish, implement and maintain appropriate management system of the HR value chain for CMOS
• Facilitate and provide effective support to the CMO's management and HR team to ensure alignment of respective CMOs HRM strategies and plans development and execution
• Advise Country Marketing Offices (CMOs) management on wide variety of personnel and human resources issues
• Provide HR inputs for business projects: due diligence, post-merger integration
Competencies/Skills:
• Strong specialist knowledge and experience in developing and implementing/rolling-out programs is compulsory
• Experience in recruitment of higher level employees is an added advantage
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and external parties (Adaptability/Flexibility/Communication)
• Strong knowledge and experience in effective incentive and performance management to support the business goals
• Appreciation of applicable labour laws
• Experience in M & A is an added advantage

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have strong exposure to setting up and leading HR functions across multiple national jurisdictions in Africa.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in HRM or equivalent
• MNC background (in the sense of having exposure to other countries in at least African Continent)
• Continental experiences are a must (at least 3-4 countries within African continent)
• Business start-up experience is an added advantage
• Good track record in developing and driving execution of initiatives

Our client is a global oil and lubricants group that has formed strategic partnerships with international lubricant companies and has set up local marketing subsidiaries in Sudan, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Japan, India and Singapore to distribute its products globally.This is a new role to assist withexpansion into Africa and recent acquisitions ensure that the corporateexpansion goals are being achieved in Europe, North America and South America.
