The position supports the Senior Manager IM Systems Development in delivering appropriate project and portfolio management services in accordance with my client's strategic plan. The Project Support Manager is responsible for the effective management and delivery of projects undertaken in IM and the management of outsource partners/suppliers associated with the delivery of the projects.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure delivery of projects (Schedule, Budget, Quality)
• Ensure regular project reviews and management structure for accountability (project teams, stakeholders and suppliers) is in place
• Ensure project risk assessments are completed. Escalate issues, risks and non-compliance to relevant governance forums
• Ensure adherence of policies, procedures and standards
• Assessment and management of impact on other projects
• Project resource management
• Manage and track portfolio and project forecast and budget
Who we're looking for
• Accredited project management qualification
• BCom/BSc or IT diploma
• Related technical and project management experience in the functional disciplines of application development and information technology, either directly in the mining industry or in other appropriate industries
• 4 years project management experience running multiple projects
• A good understanding of Total Quality Management
