Systems Developer- Data Centre Automation

The incumbent will develop, deploy and maintain data centre, server and virtualization management systems. A combination of strong software development and system administration skills, with an understanding of customer needs will be crucial to success. Your duties will include:
• Develop new and maintain existing front and back end applications written primarily in Ruby on Rails, bash shell scripts and PHP
• Implement and maintain a new virtual server management system
• Implement and maintain efficient, automated server provisioning and Data Centre management systems
• Liaise closely with key project stakeholders on system requirements, acceptance criteria, UI design and quality
Who we're looking for
A high level of proficiency in the following :
• Web development technologies
• Linux systems administration
• Server virtualization (preferably with open source implementations)
• OO and MVC design concepts
A sound understanding of:
• Agile design and implementation approach to systems development
• IP networking
• Previous server provisioning automation and management will be an advantage
• Previous server, network and environmental monitoring experience will be an advantage
Qualifications:
• 3 Year National Diploma in IT majoring in software development
• BSc or BTech/MTech majoring in Computer Science will be a distinct advantage
