Systems Administrator

• Responsible for the provision of an effective systems administration function
• Responsible for the provision of an effective application support function
• Assists in disaster recovery procedures by monitoring the back-up of the data by the back-up solution
• Ensures effective Back-up & Disaster Recovery plan implementation
• Assists in imaging the servers prior to any upgrades or service pack changes utilising the disaster recovery solution
• Back-up solution is monitored as to ensure safety and back-up of data including disaster recovery images
• Administers the Active Directory by creating and maintaining user accounts and groups
• Ensures user accounts and groups are created as and when required
• Monitors and evaluates the necessary Microsoft security patches and service packs

Who we're looking for
• 2 Years' experience in the management of a 500+ user base utilising Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Has knowledge of a broad range of IT systems and applications administration
• Has exposure in an IT Projects environment
• Proven track record in MS policy implementation
• Has experience in MS Server2008, MS Exchange 2008
• Knowledge of Server hardware and software, including applications, storage and vmware
• Demonstrates an understanding of server and network applications
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally with individuals or groups.
• Analysing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems
