Must have experience in managing projects in a software development environment.
Soliciting and analysing customer project requirements and translating these into comprehensive Project Scope documents and requirements definitions.
Project planning from conceptualisation to close out phases of the project life cycle.
Reporting of project progress to the Project Board / Steering Committee and all relevant parties. Actively driving senior management focus on the project.
Manage and successfully conclude escalations, change controls and risks across all organization levels of all parties involved.
Management of risk at all stages of the project including business, operational, technical and resource issues.
Reporting lessons learned and building a body of knowledge for continuous improvement.
Managing Project closure, signoff and ensuring that invoices are issued to the customer for payment.
Managing relationships with system integrators, partners, suppliers and other 3rd parties involved in a project. Setting and managing realistic expectations of all parties.
Compliance with project quality standards to manage projects according to the Project Methodology. Includes executing all phases of the project lifecycle including planning, development, integration, testing, customer acceptance, training & hand-over to support
Pre-sales and Post-sales support
Occasional travel to customers to manage integration
Strong communication skills and ability to handle multi-party telecoms.
Ability to speak French or Arabic would be advantageous.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
Who we're looking for
At least 2 years experience in delivering Projects in the Mobile Telecom (GSM) environment. Past experience in more than one core role (e.g., consulting, project management and operations management). Background in application software or good understanding of the
Software development lifecycle and environment.
Knowledge of the global mobile telecommunications market, specifically subscriber self management.
Experience and deep knowledge of planning, setting up and running custom development and product development projects in customer facing environment.
Experience in all project phases including scoping, requirements definition, specification, software development, Quality assurance testing, system integration.
Working with stakeholders and executive sponsors, reporting, reviewing, escalation and issue management.
Ability to drive cross-functional project teams of service personnel dispersed across multiple geographies and disciplines in a matrix structure where none of the resources report directly to the project manager. Able to motivate project staff and influence their tasks to align with the project goals and priorities.
