Responsible for the Windows and Linux installations, software package installations, support and maintenance of internal staff PCs;
Responsible for test laboratory hardware installations, support, maintenance and regular software upgrades;
Owning the network health and staff access permissions;
Responsible for phone and data network infrastructure;
Available for 24/7 standby support;
Owing printer support and maintenance;
Procurement of new hardware;
Responsible for test laboratory upkeep, commissioning and de-commissioning of test environments;
Responsible for company backups and restores;
Owning regular upgrades of software;
Responsible for network security and software safety;
Report monthly on network statistics and traffic use;
Owning the FTP server access and distribution of software on the FTP server;
Interaction with vendors such as Telkom, Neotel, Axxcess and Hetzner to ensure delivery of high quality service for Concurrent Systems.

Who we're looking for
A National Diploma or degree will be seen as positive;
Experience in Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems, i.e. Windows Vista, Windows 7, Sun Solaris, Ubuntu, CentOS;
Experience with e-Mail servers (Zimbra will be seen as an advantage);
Experience in hardware infrastructure such as Sun SPARC and Intel servers, routers, switches;
Knowledge of ADSL, DSL, fibre;
Knowledge of BASH, Perl, Java and XML;
Understanding of SVN repositories and subversion.
