The main purpose if the role will be the Maintenance and enhancements of my client's Data Warehouse and supporting data marts and processes.
The responsibilities will include:
• To implement enhancements, working from high level requirements specifications in line with business requirements (including enhancements to existing processes and procedures, development of new functionality, etc).
• Assist in development and maintenance of back-end processes and establish the best method of extracting required data from the various master systems and Warehouse Databases.
• Ensure integrity and delivery of data from the source systems to the warehouse and the respective marts

Who we're looking for

A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or Informatics.
Have at least:
• 1 years experience in DATASTAGE Enterprise Edition (Designer, Directory and Administrator).
• 3 year's solid experience in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS & T-SQL and SQL Server 2008.
• Good working knowledge of Windows Server, and IIS.
• Is competent in a number of programming languages, have worked with procedural languages, object orientated languages and different operating environments.
• Have worked with large quantities of raw data, large transaction volumes.
• Have had exposure to Qlikview Design & Development.

Experience in the following would be a distinct advantage but is not essential:
• Oracle PL/SQL knowledge
• DB2
• Essbase
• Hyperion
Experience in the Financial/insurance sector
