The Assistant Product Manager position based in Midrandentails the following;

Function: The primary role of this job entails Product Marketing and Category Management.
This will also be a key position in providing support for Channel Management team and other internal and external customers.

Objective: The Primary objective is to plan and execute the strategy and sales plan of the category according to budgetary requirements and local/ head quarter direction.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Senior manager - Product Marketing who will agree expectations and allocate resources.
TOP FIVE RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:
?Ï Planning and setting direction of category according market objectives, product direction and 4 marketing P's.
?Ï Forecasting and business planning (Inventory control and sales forecasting)
?Ï Advertising and Promotion planning co-operatively with marketing department.
?Ï Supporting Channel management to ensure execution of budget.

Who we're looking for
The successful Assistant Product Manager will require the following;
?Ï Related Degree/Diploma (IMM/BCOM marketing or working towards)
?Ï Previous category , Product Management experience<BR>?Ï Proven track record of successfully achieving objectives
?Ï Experience in consumer electronics field an advantage.
?Ï Business planning or financial modelling/business case development
?Ï Should be able to demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills
?Ï Spoken and written fluency both in local and in English language is required
?Ï Advanced MS Office and computer skills (excel, power-point)
?Ï Professional Demeanour
