The purpose of the job is ensuring the accuracy of preliminary and final payroll reports, spreadsheets, payments, assuring compliance with legislative and regulatory policies, etc. Furthermore, the candidate will need to respond to inquiries and/or requests for data and/or reports; provide timely and accurate payroll production; and provide assistance and information regarding accurate reconciliation of the payroll to the general ledger in accordance with the Finance department.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate for the position of Payroll Manager should have the following qualifications, experience and skills:
• BA Degree/Diploma with major course work in accounting, finance or related fields
• Three years of responsible automated technical payroll accounting experience;Two years of managerial experience andVIP / BIM (non negotiable) and MS Office (Excel Advance Skills)
• Scientific Knowledge - Business Intelligence Manager reporting, Employment Equity understanding, skills development, Payroll Reconciliation, tax reconciliation and SARS guidelines regarding payroll processing
• Ability - candidate must be flexible, independent, a team worker and a problem solver.
