Safety Manager

The Safety Manager is accountable to direct and guide the development, implementation and maintenance of SHER systems and processes as well as the identification, analysis, quantification and management of operational risks and threats for the whole of the Mining Division to ensure accurate and timeous data and information and provide for pro-active management / mitigation of potential risks and financial losses.

Who we're looking for
Applicant must:
• Be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate/ equivalent and Tertiary Degree or equivalent in Safety Management
• A valid certificate of fitness or the ability to obtain
• Have good communication skills and excellent written & verbal skills in English
• Be computer literate
• Have a blasting certificate or a trade certificate with three years' practical experience in underground Mining Middle Management.
• Experience in Hazard identification & Risk Assessment process and Safety Management Systems,
