Sales Account Executive

The Sales Account Executive serves as the cornerstone in managing key customer relationships with overall responsibility for attaining sales objectives, including driving revenue growth and increasing bookings backlog within region, territory or assigned account(s). Thecandidate must maintain relationships with key decision makers/contacts within assigned account(s) up through senior management-level. As the Sales Account Executive you will lead the formulation of solutions based on customers' business and technology requirements. You will drive creation of customer proposals and complex contract negotiations to successful closure; resolving issues with customer and internal groups. You must meet and exceed bookings/revenue targets for assigned territory/region.You must also provide accurate forecasting of revenue and bookings; prepares recurring sales forecasts, e.g.: pipeline/funnel/forecast reports, etc. As the Account executive you must articulate account and market insights to executives, Sales management, Field Marketing, and Product Management. You will be responsible for driving resources used to support the sales process, e.g.; proposal development and delivery, expert presentations, collateral development. You will be expected to attend appropriate conferences and events; working trade show booths as needed to meet with customers and develop new prospects. This role would encompass new business development and account management across Africa.

Who we're looking for
To be considered for this role, you must have a:
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in direct field sales selling carrier-class, or enterprise-class, technology products and services.
• A thorough understanding of the telecommunications industry; challenges faced by operators and associated opportunities to provide solutions
• A strong network of industry contacts specifically within wireless and/or broadband carriers.
• Previous knowledge and experience with software licensing.
• You must demonstrate ability to achieve or exceed aggressive growth targets required.
• You must have demonstrated the ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional team members; ability to get results through others; able to influence and pull teams together to meet account goals.
• If you speak French then you will have a distinct advantage against other candidates.
ONLY CANDIDATES WHO HAVE SOLD AN ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE OR WIRELESS SOLUTIONS INTO MOBILE OPERATORS ACROSS AFRICA WILL BE CONSIDERED. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT YOU MUST HAVE CONTACTS WITHIN THE CARRIER SPACE ACROSS AFRICA.
