The Chocolate & Confectionery Business Unit is undergoing a program of change and drive for excellence. You will be responsible for conceptualising the brand strategy, developing brand architecture for the category with positioning platform and its benefits.
You will be responsible in translating consumer insights into actionable product strategy. You should have the flair of predicting consumer / market trend and proactively building up a winning strategy which then manifests into long term sustainable business plans.
You will be responsible for a Category with direct accountability in volumes, market share and margins in domestic and international markets which are consistent with the set annual business plan.
You will be accountable for generating long-term customer, consumer demand for the brand and category across the MENA and the Africa region.
In addition you will determine marketing and consumer research objectives with focus on existing and new product lines, utilising your full marketing capabilities.
You will be also developing marketing campaigns, brand / category budgets using ATL / BTL strategies.
Finally you will also work with R&D for formulating new variants and recipe cost management, as well as launching new variants and packaging plans
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be
Masters in Business Administration specialising in Marketing / International Business.
Knowledge of food manufacturing within the chocolate / confectionary industry.
Good understanding of raw materials involved in chocolate / confectionery products.
Have a flair for innovation and should demonstrate strong business acumen
Successful track record in developing and executing marketing strategies with expertise in promoting a brand in innovative ways.
6 to 10 years of relevant work experience out of which at-least 4 years of hands-on experience in strategy formulation in either chocolate / confectionary category
