Human Resources Business Partner

HR Business Partner

Central Johannesburg

Permanent

Updated July 2, 2010

The key aspects of this role are to support and educate line managers in the execution of HR-related activities and monitor line adherence to HR best practice and principles in order to help the Bank achieve pre-eminence through its people.
This is a diverse role which includes management of the broader human resources environment, people resources, supporting recruitment processes and people development, entrenching the bank's reward philosophy and providing strategic human resources advice.
• Human Resources is required to become true partners to business rather than just a governance or support function. This requires the role holder to increase business management knowledge to a large extent and to demonstrate understanding of business requirements at a new level.
• The current pace of change in the organisation is substantial and therefore the demands on the role are numerous and deadlines are often tight.

The ideal candidate will be an articulate and professional candidate with excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a rewarding but demanding environment. In addition, it is likely that you will have the following:
• At least 5 years formal work experience, preferably in financial services
• At least 3 years in Human Resources in a project management or HR support function
• Formal qualification in business management, commerce or industrial psychology or requisite experience
