You will manage the installation of SQL Server and related services on various database servers and ensure processes are in place which facilitate database backup and recovery. You will also be required to implement data security features which will allow access to data to authorized applications and users and to identify and assist in rectifying issues adversely affecting server performance
Who we're looking for
• Degree / Diploma in IT highly desirable;
• Solid knowledge of DBA SQL Servers (SQL Server Certification)
• MCSE (not essential)
• 5 years experience working with databases as a developer/designer/administrator
• DBA for other DBMS (DB2/Oracle)
• Windows Server and Operating Systems knowledge
• 2-3 years experience working with very large databases is highly desirable
