Specialist Customer Manager

The Specialist Customer Manager will be responsible for the following :
• National Account Management for the companies Spar, Game and Makro Account.
• To design , develop & manage Channel Strategies to facilitate the implementation of category and brand strategy.
• To translate Channel Strategies into integrated trade and shopper strategies, including unexplored channels and shopping occasions.
• Compiling feedback of current & emerging customer and channel needs for inclusion in category/brand strategies- including packaging and case configuration considerations as well as NPD development.
• Optimal ranging by Customer, Pricing Strategy, Merchandising, Promotional Guidelines, POS & POP guidelines.
• Ensuring integration of marketing and channel plans into key account plans.
• Ensuring alignment of brand strategies into customer activities by being a core member in project team meetings.
• Facilitation of brand strategies at senior level, which includes development and presentation of category reviews and identification of opportunities and trade arguments.
• To act as key support into the category strategy process as a support role within the commercial team.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will meet all of the following minimum requirements:

• A completed tertiary qualification.
• 5-10 years experience in customer management or marketing at senior level
• 3-8 years FMCG experience<BR>• Advanced computer literacy skills are key requirements, specifically in Excel- as well as proven statistical/analytical ability
• Extensive leadership and communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
