Sales Manager-Wholesale

As the Sales Manager-wholesale, you will be expected to develop and implement a customer business plan that is aligned to the customer's needs, the company's business objectives , marketing and category plans and will deliver budgeted growth targets by category (to be done jointly with Customers where appropriate). You role would encompass supporting the marketing managers and Category Managers' in the development of Customer specific Category and Shopper Marketing Strategies that are based on shopper insights. This role is geared at managing the key clients within the wholesale channel. As the sales manager. you will also manage six staff that stretches across sales, marketing and logistics. You must be very articulate and pay attention to detail in this role as a full level of reporting, detailed forecasting and sales management will be expected. The role will also involve negotiating terms and conditions. You must also monitor customer service levels and ensure adherence to all divisional and corporate policies and procedure.

Who we're looking for
To be considered for this opportunity, you should have the following skills and attributes:
• You must have a Matric and Tertiary Education (minimum 3 year Degree/Diploma)
• You should have at least 5-6 years selling and/or marketing experience, of which 2 years must have involved senior management level interaction (either internal or external) within a company operating in the South African FMCG market.
• You must have experience in managing sales, marketing and logistics staff
• It is crucial that you have sold into key clients across the Wholesale channel and manage key account managers on a national and regional level.
• ONLY CANDIDATES WHO HAVE SOLD INTO THE WHOLESALE AND INFORMAL CHANNEL WILL BE CONSIDERED
