The successful Private Equity Associate based in North Johannesburg in the Financial Services Sector will have the following responsibilities:
• Application of the various valuation techniques including but not limited to discounted cash flow ("DCF"), enterprise value ("EV") to earnings before taxation, interest, depreciation & amortisation ("EBITDA"), EV to earnings before taxation & interest ("EBIT"), price to earnings ("PE") & price to net asset value ("P/NAV").
• Application of financial statement and company analysis.
• Complete a thorough due diligence investigation.
•Complete a discussion paper.
•Complete a transaction proposal.
• Manage the Portfolio Company reporting.
•Liaise with Portfolio Companies.

Who we're looking for
The successful incumbent will have CA(SA)/BSc/CFA with 2 years valuation experience in Corporate Finance with the following competencies:
• Ability to deliver and meet tight deadlines.
• Tenacity and a high standard of work ethic.
• General communication skills and a team player.

About our client
The Private Equity Fund aims to acquire significant minority and control interests in established medium sized business. Investments, which may involve both listed and private firms. typically take the form of expansion capital, entrepreneur partnering, management buyout / buy-in and replacement capital.
