Senior Manager: Internal Communications

As the Senior Manager: Internal Communications you will manage, co-ordinate and implement internal communication activities in line with the policy and procedures of the Group Corporate Communications.
Some of thekey areas of responsibilities will be as follows:

• Internal organisational communication across a varied and deadline driven corporate communications environment.
• Supportive of corporate communication strategy, policy and procedure
• Needs to support the drive for credibility and value added communication for the organisation
• Conceptualize, execute and continuously review internal stakeholder (staff and management) engagement strategy
• Create and sustain a culture of employee engagement to ensure thatthere isan emotionally committed workforce
• Position company as the employer of choice in the eyes of employees
• Create new and optimise existing engagement platforms for thecompanyleadership with staff
• Effectively manage the production ofbi-monthly publication and all electronically generated communiqués (credibility, relevance, message consistency, dependability and convenience to the end-users being key)
• Develop the Intranet into a fully-fledged communication platform
• Provide support to key Human Resources initiatives, including the Executive Leadership Roadshow
• Undertake on-going monitoring and reviewing of internal communication strategies to ensure that they stay relevant and assist the company to achieve its objectives
• Provide support to business units in the drafting of key communication messages
• Create interactive platforms for staff to engage with one another, leveraging new media platforms
• Design and collate distribution of media crisis plans to staff

Who we're looking for
The successful incumbent must meet the following criteria :
• Bachelor Degree in Communication or Journalism
• A minimum of five years corporate communications experience<BR>• 4 years at a managerial level
• Must have cross-functional communication experience in a corporate environment
• Editorial experience<BR>• Experience, with demonstrable evidence, in new media
